【June 29-30】Community Film Screening @Niseko Central Warehouses

June 29-30, Saturday-Sunday, 2019

Niseko Central Warehouses will be screening four documentary films from Costa Rica, the United States, Denmark and the Netherlands, and Okinawa, Japan.

“Osa: The Jewel of Costa Rica” is a sustainable practices success story, where individuals and groups are making a positive difference in caring and healing one of the most bio-diverse tropical rain forests in the world.

“DamNation” is a powerful film odyssey across America that explores the sea change in its national attitude from pride in big dams as engineering wonders to the growing awareness that its own future is bound to the life and health of its rivers.

“ZAN” documents a journey of discovery about the last of the Okinawan Dugong and the people who strive to protect them in the outstandingly beautiful and bio-diverse Henoko, Okinawa – where the construction of a new U.S. military base is underway.

“Power to the People” introduces the ‘energy positive’ island Samsø, Denmark, and other endeavors in the country and the Netherlands to transform the energy industry and local economy. *This film is in Japanese only*
