NISEKO AREA SKI RESORT 2024-2025 SEASON OPEN INFO

Welcome to Niseko in Winter Season!

To fully enjoy the Niseko area
Securing transportation is very important!!
If you are not coming by car,
You will mainly need to use buses, taxis, etc. to get around.

We have summarized the main means of transportation in the Niseko area.
Please use it when staying in Niseko!

 

Attention！

  • Can not reach to HIRAFU AREA from JR Niseko Station by public bus!
    If you want to go to HIRAFU AREA, please get off at JR Kutchan Station, not JR Niseko Station!
  • Can not board “NISEKO VILLAGE SHUTTLE BUS” from JR Niseko Station!
    * NISEKO VILLAGE = Hilton Niseko Village, Ritz Carlton Niseko Village, Hinode Hills, Green Leaf *
    If you want to take the “NISEKO VILLAGE SHUTTLE BUS”, please get off at JR Kutchan Station, not JR Niseko Station！
  • When moving within Niseko Town, please use “NISEKO AREA CIRCUIT BUS”! 

 

1. BUS

  • NISEKO AREA CIRCUIT BUS ( IN THE NISEKO TOWN )　⇒　NISEKO AREA CIRCUIT BUS TIME TABLE
    ■Operation Period： 30th November, 2024 (Sat) – 23th March, 2025 (Sun)
    Departure from JR Niseko Station – towards Niseko Town – Higashiyama/Niseko Village – Annupuri – towards Moiwa/Kombu Onsen.
    This is a very convenient bus for getting around Niseko town!
    One-way: 100 yen , free for infants.

  • NISEKO UNITED SHUTTLE BUS ( IN THE SKI AREA )　⇒　NISEKO UNITED SHUTTLE BUS 2024-2025 A Line – B Line TIME TABLE
    ■Operation Period： 30th November, 2024 (Sat) – 6th April, 2025 (Sun)
    　※14th December, 2024 (Sat) – 23th March, 2025 (Sun) Nighttime Shuttle Bus in Operation
    This bus is convenient for traveling between ski resorts scattered around Niseko Annupuri.
    You can also use it to travel from Niseko Town to Niseko Hirafu and Kutchan Town.
    Two lines are in operation: Line A (HANAZONO – Annupuri) and Line B (Annupuri – HANAZONO).

  • Nikotto Bus （ IN THE NISEKO TOWN ）
    ■Operation Period： Everyday ※Reservation Required
    　（Operation During 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.）
    This is a convenient shared bus that allows you to travel door-to-door from the boarding point to your destination for 200 yen each time.
    Reservations are accepted from 9:00 a.m. to noon and from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and reservations can be made from 8 days in advance of the boarding date.
    Although it can be used by tourists, it is also a popular destination for local residents and can get very crowded on the day of the trip.
    We recommend early reservations.

  • NISEKO BUS KUTCHAN LINE （KUTCHAN – HIRAFU – NISEKO VILLAGE）
    ■Operation Period： 1th December, 2024 (Sun) – 31th March, 2025 (Mon)
    Convenient when coming from Kutchan Station to Takahashi Farm Milk Factory or Hilton Niseko Village.

  • NISEKO BUS – HIRAFU LINER
    ■Operation Period： 14th December, 2024 (Sat) – 9th March, 2025 (Sun)
    In the nighttime, this bus operation from Annupuri International Ski Area → Hilton Niseko Village → Hirafu area.

  • HIRAFU FREE SHUTTLE BUS / KUTCHAN NIGHT BUS
    ■Operation Period： [Period 01] 1st December, 2024 (Sun) – 28th February, 2025 (Fri)
    　　　　　                  [Period 02] 1st March, 2025 (Sat) – 31th March, 2025 (Mon)
    Convenient when moving around the Hirafu area.
    After 5:00 pm, you can reach to Kutchan Town area as well.

  • HANAZONO SHUTTLE BUS
    ■Operation Period： 30th November, 2024 (Sat) – 6th April, 2025 (Sun)
    Convenient for traveling  between Hirafu area and HANAZONO area.

2. TAXI

If you want to take a taxi, you need to call a taxi by phone, e-mail, reservation forms.
During peak times, you may wait more than 1 hour.
We recommend early reservations.

As part of efforts to solve winter transportation issues in the Niseko area, the “Niseko Model” has been implemented since last year, and the number of taxis available for dispatch on the taxi app “GO” will be increased during the following period.

　Price： Regular Fare + 1,180 Yen (Regional transportation promotion expenses) + 100 Yen (Application fare)

 

3. HOTEL TRANSFER

In some cases, hotel / pension can pick you up.
Please contact the property directly for shuttle service availability.
If your travel timing coincides with dinner time, it may be difficult to pick up and drop off.
We recommend that you check in advance.

For Guests Staying at Niseko Village Accomodations (Hilton Niseko Village, Ritz Carlton Higashiyama Reserve, Green Leaf Niseko Village, Hinode Hills Niseko Village)

Free shuttle bus is available between JR Kutchan Station – Hirafu Welcome Center – Milk Kobo – Niseko Village.

Niseko Village Shuttle Bus departs and arrive at JR Kutchan Station.
If you are using JR train, please be sure to get off at JR Kutchan Station!
Please note you can not board Niseko Village Shuttle Bus from JR Niseko Station.

4. Carsharing / Rental Car

 

Direct From New Chitose Airport to Niseko Area! Ski Buses

Transportation from New Chitose Airport to the Niseko area is by car, JR, or bus.
When arriving from either location, it is convenient to take a bus that will take you to Niseko without changing trains!
Advance reservations are required for both buses, so don’t forget to make reservations when using them.
